im pretty sure owls play badminton.
if not, they should
its pretty great
id like to go on one. but my foot is broken.
a friend of mine likes scuba diving. being under that much water equally fascinates me and terrifies me.
i might try it. maybe.
Sycamore trees are absolutely gorgeous.
be with you...
ive been stuck inside for awhile, but i used to go once a week for an artist date, usually to a new coffee shop each time.
trees are a great helper of thoughts.
im sure owls swim?
this owl appeared in my minds eye while gardening. i think this fellow could really be a peace owl, balance, equality. this is how i feel after savasana.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
he made words fit together quite nicely.
i was missing hugging my friends when i painted this. the internet connection is great to have as a backup. nothing can replace human contact. hug your friends today.
yoga owls starting their asana.
i love them
i think we could be friends
this is a little self portrait- my favorite color is green and i love my cat eye glasses. right now ive been obsessed with this peachy color you see in the background. im slipping it into many of my paintings.
this red haired gal shows up quite a bit in my work. she has her own story developing. probably something to do with my journey through depression. we shall see...
it was my pal Karen's birthday, around the same time as mine and we went to see Aimee Mann together (with a bunch of other great people). she had this really great patio that looked over the bay bridge filled with all sorts of succulents. because thats what you do in California. you fill your space with succulents. also her sweet doggie Otis. <3
Everyone's favorite yoga pose. the rest at the end. really we should all do this at least once a day. probably outside.
tree pose is one of my favorite poses in yoga. its always much easier for me in prayer. i love standing one footed.
on the way back from trip last year, the cabin of the plane was dark so you could see far out over the clouds. an ocean of clouds under the starry sky. i wanted to capture that feeling. and why not add an owl in a boat fishing for stars? of course.
the moon really looks full just before it is. its so great to live here in Gilroy and see it rise over the hills. especially after the spring (ahem-winter?) rains.
Sometimes my cloud gets a little heavy. This one turned out pretty great in spite of my feeling like a tube of paynes gray. Which is actually not so bad now that I think of it.
Many of my owls look like they are in the middle of a story. Someday they will all fit together into a book.
