Elissa Nesheim grew up on the edge of a National Forest, spending her childhood hiking and exploring in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The forest, creeks and hills were her playground and the landscape continues to inspire in her current home of Gilroy, California.

Using watercolor as her media, Elissa creates mesmerizing interpretations of the natural world after gathering images from observation. By echoing the essence of place onto a 2 dimensional surface using color, line, and shape she encourages a new connection to your surroundings.
